Natural Bodybuilding: Tips To Build Muscle Mass

Following are some tips to build muscle mass the natural way, I mean without costly and unhealthy supplements:

  • Weight Training: Use appropriate weight and train with heavy weights using less reps. You should only be able to do 4-8 reps. Using heavy weights and low reps puts your muscles and nervous system under much more stress than using lighter weights for many reps. Don’t forget a rest time between sets that should be approximately 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Eating More Protein: Without protein, your body will not be able to build new muscle. Carbs serve mainly as energy for the body where as protein provides the necessary amino acids to build and repair muscle. Only diets high in protein help to gain muscle mass when incorporated with intense physical training. To build muscles get at least 1 gram of protein per pound of body weight.
  • Eating Fat is Necessary: An increase in dietary fat intake seems to bring on an increase in testosterone levels, which is a must when you are trying to gain mass. Moreover, dietary fat has a direct relationship with testosterone production. This is why one of your main focuses should be to increase your intake of essential fatty acids and not saturated fats.
  • More Calories: Extra calories are necessary in order to repair muscle tissue which have been damaged during training sessions with heavy workouts. They are also important to help build muscle mass. Remember to eat around 18-20 times you body weight in calories. However, it’s very important not to consume empty calories; prefer foods providing you correct nutrients wich are essential for gaining muscle.
  • Drink Plenty Of Water: As dehydrated muscle takes longer to repair itself than a hydrated one, you must drink often to make sure that your muscles stay hydrated. Remember that dhydration may easily happen when training hard.
  • Importance Of Taking Ample Rest: Remember that the muscle growing process works during resting time. Try to get about six or eight hours of sleep each and every day. Resting the body is just as important as training and dieting. Taking days, even weeks off from training will only benefit you.

Conclusion

The key of natural bodybuilding is to be patient and consistent. Even if you have the best training schedule, the best diet and joined the best gym, without consistency, it’s all worthless.
